The second drawing of Ani for the X-Institute RP. I did two for a reason: In the first one, I wanted to give a first impression of what the other characters would see when they met her for the first time. This one is a bust, basically, so they can get a better idea of what her face and hair, etc. look like. And I was really inspired, so I made a quick doodle on the fly.

I used the X-Men: Evolution style for this drawing. The main reason is because that's how I picture the RP in my head. XME is the only X-Men Universe stuff I've seen recently (as I just watched a total marathon a week ago). I haven't seen the original X-Men cartoon in forever, and I can't afford comics, as I'm a poor college-urchin. Besides, the Marvel style just wouldn't have fit her. She's not sexy enough. Her facial structure is mostly based off of different features from Rogue, Wanda, and Kitty (yes, Kitty.), though I did give her a much more oval-shaped head than most of the Evo characters. She's thin, dagnabit. And the hair is more piecy than any XME character I've ever seen. But that's my own flair.

A couple things of note: Ani doesn't comb her hair. Ever. Hence the scruffiness. That and I thoroughly enjoy drawing scruff. There's a reason almost all my girls have short hair: drawing long hair bores me. And I hate letting my own hair get long, so yeah. Also, she usually won't have this much facial expression, as she's rather detached from her emotions. Her face now looks something between horror, surprise, and 'WTF?' I dunno, maybe ~Sins-Of-Angels's character Azunka told her she was going to give her a makeover, or something. So far, Azunka sounds like one of the few people who'd be able to illicit a real reaction from Ani. The perkiness would utterly confuse her. Also, she doesn't wear lipstick, but all the Evo girls have full lips, regardless of whether or not they wear makeup. Ani doesn't wear makeup, but she's in the Evo-style, and that's an intrinsic part of it.

I really wish I could tell you her back-story and powers, but alas, I can't just yet. The other players are supposed to figure that stuff out within the game, and ~Sins-Of-Angels is on my watch list, so that would instantly be ruined for her and anyone who bothered to check out my doodles after I post her CS. ~Imenak doesn't count; he's the GM so he already has all that crap. Once the RP gets further along and I've revealed more about her, I'll post some stuff.
